[devblog] Small status update
Hi there,
some time has passed since the last update, so I think I owe you at least a small status update.
First of all, the project is still alive and I worked on several parts of the game. However, I expected to have a much further progress until now, but this was not possible.
On the one hand, I needed to make many technical changes, because of problems with upcoming animations and planned network features. On the other hand, my full time job required a lot of time and energy from me in the past weeks.
So there are no fancy screenshots or videos for now, but I hope, you are still looking forward for the next update of Pixel Tennis.
By the way, I received some initial offers from our community either through PM or Discord to help with 3D modeling and programming. I am really thankful for that and also excited to see, how these will turn out!

be strong man
Re: [devblog] Small status update
Great to hear the community is reaching out to you!
And, of course, no need to rush things when you're burnt out. Small updates such as this are perfect to keep us posted on the progress and any slowdowns you encounter.
/thumbsup

Re: [devblog] Small status update
i think the thing we need the most right now is some1 who is able to make some 3D artwork for characters etc, right ? i feel like wongkit can do all the other shit on his own right ? 8)
Re: [devblog] Small status update
Yup, still looking for an artist for 3D models and animation.
Re: [devblog] Small status update
Before things are getting confused - I am in contact with someone who wants to take care of the modeling and animation part. I am waiting for some preview until I would do an official announcement or define this position as occupied.

Re: [devblog] Small status update
A few... I sent Wong all functions and requests, that I programmed the last weeks for the backend.
He found some improvements, which I will update the next days.
There are some basic things like:
- login with an account
- create a character
- Buy/sell an item
- earn exp
- start a match
- use skillpoints
and so on...
But these are things that aren't easy to show here, because it is backend stuff and hasn't a graphic user interface.
Furthermore Wong will show me the development environment "Unity" for the gameplay. Maybe there is a chance to help him in this topic, because the gameplay does the most work.
It is cool that you ask for an upgrade. Sometimes I do not see the need, because the milestones are to small. But of course the community is the most important thing on this project!

Hi all,
unfortunately, I "still" cannot announce anything interesting for you by today. But please be informed, that I am still working on Pixel Tennis.
Currently, I am in the process of separating client/server from each other in separate projects. In the current version, the server for the online rpg part was also included in the game client release which enabled faster prototyping and testing. However, this also has some serious downsides for multi client testing, debugging and resource usage on the server machine. *tech bla bla*
